One of the things I was hesitant to address in this book was actually based on my affiliation with a sorority. However, like the main character, I have to do (and write) what God puts on my heart. My prayer is that this audio message as well as the events in the book will challenge us all to conduct a Word-based evaluation of what we’re involved in, how we spend these numbered days of our lives, and what will actually endure forever.
Hi Michelle! I listened to the post and you are very correct in what you speak about. My pastor is the same way–opposed to the same thing “Mark” was opposed to. I didn’t know the levels of idolatry some of these organizations will go to, some knowingly and some unknowingly. Like you said, as we grow we must “examine ourselves” to be sure that we are in alignment with God and what He wants for us. In my life, I’ve witnessed my own heart becoming more and more attached to the things of God and His word. I don’t watch at much TV as I used to and I thought there would never be a day where I didn’t sit in front of the TV for hours. Praise God! This post will surely provoke some change in our lives. Thank you for so eloquently addressing this issue.
